Lori Kirsch

I am an instructor and owner at East Cincy Yoga. I graduated from Cincinnati Yoga School (CYS) with my 200hr in April 2014. I found yoga (or rather, it found me) in Fall 2012 and I fell in love with it after simply trying out some videos at home. I knew this was something I had to learn more about and be a part of as much as possible. After finding CYS, I began my journey into yoga teacher training school. Since then, I created and opened East Cincy Yoga here on the East side of town! In 2017 we began our own 200 hr Yoga Teacher Training program. I thoroughly enjoy seeing others change physically, mentally and emotionally through yoga and am happy I can be a guide to others. When not teaching, I am devoted to homeschooling my children as well as being a crazy sports mom! My ultimate vision for the studio is for everyone that comes in to feel at home and notice a positive change in their mind and body after their yoga practice.  I teach mainly Beginning Level 1 & 2, Morning Yoga, Power Yoga, Restorative Yoga and Kids Yoga.

Eric Kirsch

Eric has been practicing yoga since 2012. The passion for yoga led Eric to becoming a Certified Yoga Instructor, graduating from East Cincy Yoga Teacher Training in 2018.  Eric enjoys sunsets and rainbows while taking long walks in the woods. Eric is a Certified Reiki 1 Practitioner and is available for in house Reiki sessions at both Batavia and Amelia ECY locations. Eric also schedules ECY's House Concert Series. If you are a musician and are interested in participating in the series, please conact him at kirschejk@gmail.com. You can also find Eric at your local library and sometimes playing baseball with other adults who refuse to grow up.

Linn Uhlfelder

I graduated from Cincinnati Yoga School in 2015 with my 200hr.
As a yoga student I was blessed to have an instructor (thank you Lori Kirsch East Cincy Yoga) that opened up a new world for me with yoga, just going to classes with her over a few months I suddenly felt in my heart that this is something I want to share also, the healing, soothing, powerful, uplifting, confidence that any type of yoga practice brings out of you. I teach mainly Gentle Yoga, Yin Yoga, Beginning 1, and Teen Yoga.

Christian Hartman

Christian Hartman is a Yoga instructor & musician who performs regularly with Mayan Ruins, a Tribal Music group. I have been practicing yoga since 2008 & received his 200 hour Yoga Teacher Certification in May, 2011 from Cincinnati Yoga School & has been presenting Yin Yoga classes in yoga & dance studios regularly since getting my certification. I teach mainly Yin Yoga and Beginning L1.

Kesse Hodge

Kesse has practiced yoga off and on for over 20 years and is a Yoga for All certified instructor. After being diagnosed with several chronic illnesses, I found my way back to a consistent practice including meditation and breath work. I decided to teach in order to bring the benefits of yoga to those who think they can't do it. I strive to make my classes accessible to all levels and bodies regardless of ability, strength, or flexibility. My teaching philosophy is that I is here to help guide you and keep you safe in your practice but my main responsibility is to help you build your own practice in order to empower yourself and gain all the benefits yoga has to offer. When I'm not practicing yoga, I am a freelance marketing consultant and wannabe artist, chef, and gardener. I teach mainly Gentle Yoga and Restorative Yoga.

Jess Urton

The only way I could begin to express my gratitude to Yoga and all the teachers of yoga before me, was to begin teaching myself. I began a very disciplined practice at home a few years ago and yoga changed my life so amazingly. The best part is, it made a huge positive impact on my three daughters. I cannot wait to share what yoga can do for anyone and everyone! I am extremely passionate about Ashtanga but have a regular vinyasa practice as well. My goal is to send you home with such a good feeling and new knowledge about yoga that you continue your practice daily even outside the studio. I recognize your need for this beautiful journey and am looking forward to being a part of it! I mainly sub for various classes.

Sonya Verma

Sonya is a Yoga Alliance registered E-RYT 200 yoga instructor, meditation coach, and Reiki Master. Prior to her journey as a yoga instructor, she earned her B.S. in Human Nutrition and Masters in Healthcare Administration and Business Informatics. During her time in school and working in the healthcare industry, yoga and meditation became a cornerstone of her life and helped her stay healthy in mind, body, and spirit. She felt drawn to different modalities of healing and went deeper into her practice which inspired her to share her passion with others.

She finished her RYT 200 yoga training in 2013 with the Bija School with a focus in Ashtanga and Vinyasa yoga. Currently, she is working on her 300 RYT training where she is learning Daoist forms of yoga that include Yin, Yang, subtle anatomy, and meditation. Sonya will be teaching Slow Flow Yoga at the Amelia location and she is also a sub for Power Yoga at the Batavia location.

Marianne Lang

Marianne Lang is a 200 RYT Yoga Alliance instructor who has been teaching for over 13 years teaching various forms of yoga (Ashtanga, Chair, Gentle Wellness, Hatha, Vinyasa; Life Coaching, Meditation, Private Lessons). My goal as a yoga instructor is to provide the best possible experience for the students entrusted to my care. Each person is given individual attention and consideration for their specific needs and intentions for the class.  As a daily practitioner and teacher, I endeavor to promote traditional yoga instruction based on the eight limbed (Ashtanga) path, as well as various styles to encourage self-discovery and fun. I believe that each session is a significant step further in our holistic development. It gives me great joy to witness students exhibiting confidence and delight as they progress in their practice, regardless at what level they are in or what physical abilities they possess. It is equally gratifying to hear students say:

“I feel less stressed and more relaxed after class.”

“I feel better physically, mentally and spiritually.”

“I can’t wait for the next class!”

I mainly substitute teach for everything! Morning Yoga, Gentle Yoga, Beginning L1 & 2 and Power Yoga

Karen Swartz

I mainly teach Vinyasa Flow L1 on Thursdays at the Batavia location but you can also catch me subbing for all different levels of classes.
